Velocity announces changes to partner airlines

31 July 2017

Velocity has made some changes to how you earn and redeem Velocity Points with partnered airlines.

Earlier this month Virgin Australia’s Velocity frequent flyer program welcomed four new airline partners to its program: Hainan Airlines, Hong Kong Airlines, Capital Airlines and Tianjin Airlines. Binging Virgin Australia’s number of partnered airlines to 18.

These four new airlines are members of the Fortune Wings Club. This allows members to earn either Velocity Points or Fortune Wings status qualifying points or award points when flying Virgin Australia or any of its new partnered airlines between and within Australia, New Zealand and Greater China. Velocity members will be able to redeem points for flights with these airlines from August 2017.

These new partnerships provide Velocity frequent flyers with more opportunities to use and spend points in Asia and beyond.
